Eyelash Extension Care

Pre Care

Your eyes should be free from makeup (mascara, eyeliner, & shadow) and moisturizers. Please avoid using any makeup removal that contains oil.  Coming to your appointment with a cleansed face will allow me more time for lashing.

Your eyes will be closed during the application of your eyelash extensions, to avoid any discomfort, it is always suggested that contacts are removed allowing eyes to be comfortable in a natural and rested state.

For all my coffee lovers, it's best not drink prior to your appointment as the caffeine may make your eyes flutter & make it hard for you to rest for the duration of the application of lashes.

Post Care

Avoid getting your eyelash extensions wet for 24 hours after application.

Do not use oil-based makeup, makeup remover, cleansers or lotions around the eyes as it will cause the adhesive to breakdown faster and will cause premature lash loss.

If you choose to wear make up around your eyes, only use water based make up.  Your lashes will maintain better life span by not wearing mascara over your lash extensions.

It is very important to keep your lashes clean. Clean lashes are healthy & healthy lashes last longer. I stock a Cleansing kit in my beauty bar filled with 2 in 1 Facenvy cleanser, lash brush, foaming bottle & lash wands.

Brush your lashes in the morning and evening, but do not brush when wet.  Be careful to avoid pulling on your extensions or rubbing your eyes.

Avoid sleeping on your face, or sleeping on your sides.  Your extensions may snag into your pillowcase which can cause them to be pulled out.  A silk pillowcase will help & so will a sleep mask, which I stocked in the beauty bar.

If you experience any signs of irritation contact your me immediately . You could be experiencing an allergic reaction to the extensions and need them removed.  Do not pull at your lashes and try to remove yourself, this can cause damages to your natural lash and result in premature lash loss.

Remember, it is common to lose 2-5 lashes per day.  Your lash loss cycle will determine how often you should come for a lash fill.  It is recommended to come every 2-3 weeks to ensure your lashes are always in their most beautiful and fullest condition!
